100 Bronx Leaders Network For A Cause
Fellows Raise $7,000 In One Night To Grant To Bronx Non-Profits
Last week, 100 Bronx leaders gathered together at the Bronx Documentary Center to celebrate another class of We Are The Bronx Fellows. This year, We Are The Bronx will award several small grants totaling $7,000 to local Bronx organizations that actively work towards making the Bronx a healthier and more sustainable community. "We are all engrossed in each other’s lives," commented Deputy Bronx Borough President Aurelia Greene, who addressed the crowd with her warm and generous spirit. She urged non-profit leaders in attendance to "talk to each other, listen to each other and take the time to understand." We Are The Bronx aims to do just that by bringing together emerging Bronx leaders across sectors to inspire, collaborate, and lead in the "most progressive Bronx."
